Following pages provide a glimpse of the process followed towards transforming a bed into a more usable entity.
Bed and mattress occupy a large portion of our living in terms of time association. Other than sleeping on the bed, we often perform various daily tasks considering bed as a comfortable platform. Project Shell is focused towards enhancing our efficiency at activities other than sleeping, by improving the usability of the bed by design.

Concept Generation
40+ concepts were sketched, evaluated and ranked in the basis of 10 self understood usability insights. Final concept Shell followed by most appropriate number of parameters and was selected for further iteration.

About Shell
SHELL is primarily a bed for calm and composure. Its surfaces are inspired from the life and colours of the sea. Not only a bed, Shell can function as a work desk for two and a comfortable coffee table for two. Shell range of furniture also encompasses a set of complementary chairs, a table and is yet to be expanded beyond.
